Itinerary
Day 1: M'Hamid El Ghizlane → Erg Chegaga
Upon your arrival in M'Hamid, safely park your rental car and start your journey by private 4x4 towards Erg Chegaga. We drive around 60 km off-road through beautiful desert landscapes, with the possibility of seeing some wildlife along the way. In the late afternoon, we arrive at the camp, where you will be warmly welcomed with Moroccan mint tea and mineral water. After settling into your private tent, you can enjoy the dunes and sunset. In the evening, you will have a traditional Moroccan dinner, local music around the campfire, and time to admire the spectacular desert sky.
Day 2: Erg Chegaga Desert Excursion
After breakfast, we explore the surrounding desert with a walk through the dunes, followed by a visit to the beautiful Sacred Oasis. We then visit a nomadic family, where you can discover their traditional lifestyle and learn how they prepare traditional bread baked in the hot desert sand. We will have lunch in the oasis before continuing our excursion. In the late afternoon, we return to the camp and enjoy a camel ride towards the Great Dune of Erg Chegaga to watch the sunset. In the evening, enjoy another traditional dinner, local music, campfire and the peacefulness of the Sahara under the stars.
Day 3: Erg Chegaga → M'Hamid El Ghizlane
After breakfast, we leave the camp by 4x4 and drive back through the desert towards M'Hamid. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your safely parked rental car, marking the end of your unforgettable Sahara experience.
